ORDER
Richard F. Stokes, Judge
This 24th day of September, 2001, after conducting a hearing pursuant to a remand from the Supreme Court to consider defendant’s request to represent himself on appeal, it appears to the Court that:
1. The defendant, Michael L. Bartley, is an indigent person and does not have the financial ability to retain private counsel.
2. A hearing was held on Tuesday, September 18, 2001, on the remand.
3. After the ramifications of self-representation were explored under the principles of Watson v. State, Del. Supr., 564 A.2d 1007 (1989), the defendant withdrew his request to proceed pro se and decided to continue with court appointed counsel.
Considering the foregoing, it is recommended that the appeal proceed in the usual manner with court appointed counsel.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
